Message Hi guys!

As many of you know we have been working hard on developing new and innovative products for the 300zx. We have been working on seven main projects, four of them are 100% completed, the other three are in the final stages of testing, those two items are our FRP 90-93 wing, TT front lip and CF T-tops for both configurations 2+0 or 2+2. We have invested a good amount of time in our projects to ensure superb fitment and quality. We are now offering a complete satisfaction guarantee on all of our new products. We want all of our 300zx clients to be confident that they will receive a high quality item.

The four items that we are going to show in this informative post are Carbon Fiber Mirror Shells, Carbon Fiber headlight inlays, Carbon Fiber 99 J spec wing and a steering column mounted Gauge Pod.

Our main purpose of this post is to inform the general Z community of this forum and have the opportunity to respond to any questions that may arise. We welcome any questions, comments or opinions.

Now to start things off, the first item are Carbon Fiber Mirror Shell replacements.

The main feature of this item is that it completely replaces your existing mirror shells, and it's manufactured with all of the OEM mounting points. This important detail makes for a stock fitting part, not like those stick on mirror shells that are available, that have a large edge all around the shell.

Here's a corner view pic:

Now onto the CF headlight inlays. Late 2003 I had my first chance to see a Saleen S7 up close, and the first thing that caught my eye was that the base of the headlight was made out of CF.

I've seen many members completetly black out their headlight base or chrome them, so I thought that this would be a popular option. Instead of manufacturing a full replacement we decided to make an overlay. This overlay is mold manufactured, and it flexible enough to ensure a tight and perfect fit. They are held in with an epoxy glue and would not recommend using anything else like double sided tape because it would thicken the overlay.

We manufacture these overlays with the same type of resins that we use on our popular CF trunks. They will stand up to the rigours of daily use and heat caused by the headlamps. Luminosity is not affected due to the glossy finish of the CF.

Here is a picture of how it looks installed:

Now I'm going to move onto the Carbon Fiber 99 J spec wing. This has to be one of the most innovative items for the 300zx, the design and manufacturing process ensure a top quality product. The mold that we developed incorporates a flange on the inside of each half of the wing, we then fiberglass both flanges and bond both half's together, this creates an extremely rigid structure that improves durability.

Only the top portion of this wing is Carbon Fiber and the bottom half is fiberglass. The wing is completely detailed, we air brush the edges, clear coat and hand polish it for a show quality finish. All of the materials that we use are UV protected.

The wing is mounted using four bolts, no other special modifications than just drilling these holes. This wing fits 2+0 and 2+2's

And a close up:

Our last item is the Steering Column Mounted Gauge Pod. This item is available in fiberglass or in Carbon Fiber. This piece replaces your OEM cover and is held in place with a few drops of super glue. It was impossible for us to manufacture OEM mounting points for this application due to the length that they required. Fitment is excellent since we used an OEM cover and modified it to hold a 52mm Gauge pod.

This guage pod is ideal for those enthusiasts that do not want to have A pillar gauge pods that attract the unwanted attention of peace officers. It is conveniently tucked behind your steering wheel and is in sight when checking the gauge cluster.

We will be posting in a few weeks pictures and details for our new CF t-tops, FRP wings and new style nose panels, molds are completed, we just need to test them and to make sure that they are perfect. We will have them in time for the holiday season and we will have holiday pricing on those items as well.

Questions and comments are welcome, please post them on this thread, or if you have any questions regarding any of our other products please send me an email to info@ionicdynamics.com I will be happy to help out.

Kind regards!
